Texas Hold`em

Texas Holdem: nowadays one of the most popular club poker versions.

Texas Holdem: game rules.

1. Usually is played with a 52 cards deck. Regular cards values: the highest is the ace, and the lowest – the two.
2. Goal of the game: to win the pot, consisting of bets, made during the action, by collecting the best poker combinations with your two cards and the cards from the table. If there’s only one player in game (the rest fold), the pot is taken by that player.
3. Cards delivery and blinds. The game starts when two players located on the left side of the dealer, make the obligatory bets, called blinds. The amount of this bet varies depending on the cost of the game. For instance, when the bet amount is $1-2 the first player’s blind is $0, 5 (small blind), and the second one’s blind $1 (big blind). These bets are made before the cards are delivered.
After the obligatory bets are made, each player receives two closed cards.
4. The next card is called preflop.

In preflop the flop isn’t shown yet, players pass the action round, based on their two cards.

Action goes this way. The first word belongs to the player, sited left from the player who made the big blind.

The player might:
- Pass or fold, without making any bet
- Bet
- Check, and stay in the game. The player is allowed to check if he already betted in the round, a bet equal to the bet made before him
- Call
- Raise

The bet and raise amount depends on the Texas Hold`em variety.
The action continues until players call their bets. Usually three rounds of action take place. The last word belongs to the player who made the big blind. When bets are called, they are gathered in the pot, and the first three flop cards are delivered on the table.

5. Flop, turn, river.

When three flop cards are delivered the action round begins again.
After calling bets are added to the pot and the flop’s fourth card or turn is delivered on the table.
The action round is repeated, bets are called and added to the pot and the flop’s last card or river is delivered.
After delivering the river, one more action round with the same rules takes place, and players remaining show their cards.
The player who collects the best poker combination from his two cards and the flop cards wins. If all players fold their cards, the last player in game wins.
Depending on the betting form, Texas Hold`em is divided in three variations: limit Texas Hold`em, pot limit Texas Hold`em, and no-limit Texas Hold`em.
