Blackjack game rules
The card game blackjack is played between the player and the dealer, playing on the casino’s side. There are two ways to play this game. First, the player can collect cards for the mission of collecting 21 points or the closest he can to 21, but not more than 21 points. There’s also a second way. With any sum points (not more than 21), the player can stop collecting points and hope the opponent surpasses 21 points.
According to this rules the winner is chosen: the player who collected the most points, but not more than 21. If one of the players collects more than 21 (surpasses 21) he automatically loses. There’s also the winning combination: blackjack, when the first two cards are an ace and a ten.
In most of blackjack varieties, the dealer is forced to collect cards until his sum surpasses 16. This means that he has to collect 17 or more points. Thanks to this rule, the player can hope to win even if he has on his not such a good combination, like for example 14 or 16 points. To try to win in this situation is enough to stop collecting cards, and pass the initiative to the dealer, hoping, he’ll surpass 21.
The player, who collects blackjack, automatically wins, if the dealer doesn’t have a blackjack as well. A draw is also possible, if the player’s and dealer’s cards sum is equal. In this case the bet is returned to the player. The blackjack combination wins even if the opponent has 21 points, but three or more cards. The cards value in blackjack is the following: the ace gives 1 or 11 points. The faces and the ten give 10 points each; the other cards give points according to their nominal value.
